General Questions
I'VE NEVER KICKBOXED

One of the great things about our classes is that they are for everyone. Whether you are an athlete or have never sweat before, our classes are for you. Our coaches will know it’s your first day and even week, and come around to ensure your technique is not harmful and make sure you’re progressing. With every class comes increased confidence and strength, so we encourage first timers to go at their own pace and have fun.

DO I NEED BOXING GLOVES?

No. Our new member promo comes with a brand new pair of gloves for you to have. Wraps are also available for purchase and come highly recommended by our customers, as well, we have communal pairs if you’d like.

SHOES OR BAREFOOT?

We don’t recommend working out barefoot right away, however if you have experience training barefoot, then it’s up to you! Note that shoes will help reduce the impact on your foot when kicking. If you choose to wear shoes, please ensure that they are completely clean and for indoor use only, as others may be going barefoot.

ARE THERE SHOWERS?

Yes – All of our studios have showers to make it convenient for you to get your workout in on your way to work or before a night on the town!

IS BIG HIT ON CLASSPASS?

Yes – All of our studios are part of the ClassPass community partnerships. However, to sign up you must follow the ClassPass rules!

DO I HAVE TO COMMIT?

Most people who have had gym memberships in the past have developed commitment-phobia from being locked into year-long contracts with no way of getting out! At Big Hit, you choose what works for you – from buying one class at a time or a whole bunch up front at a discounted rate. What ever works for you and your goals.

WAIT-LIST POLICY

If a desired class is full, we offer a waitlist option, for our members to use. Clients who have been transferred from the waitlist into the class, will receive an automated email message the minute this happens. Email notifications for waitlist transfers will be sent up to 4 hours before class starts.

CLASS CANCELLATION POLICY

We require a minimum 4 hours notice for the cancellation of a class. Late cancels without the appropriate notice will be charged $10, and funds will be donated to our affiliate charity, SICK KIDS FOUNDATION.

REFUND POLICY

All payments must be received prior to the start of class and no refunds will be given for amounts paid for classes. Memberships and class packages are non-refundable, however they are transferable. Please ask your Studio Leader about transferring your membership to another member.
