OVERVIEW.

As a Studio Leader, you will be responsible for the brand, culture and quality of services provided at your Big Hit studio through leadership, effective management of your coaches and front desk staff, engaging prospective community partners to enhance the value of Big Hit and handling day-to-day operations. The SL must execute a lead generation & marketing strategy to increase fitness program sales, keep retention high, as well as promote the health and wellness benefits that are associated with a healthy lifestyle.

RESPONSIBILITIES.
  • Provide high-level customer service
  • Responsible for hiring, training and firing staff
  • Creating staff schedule, organizing temporary staff schedule changes, and reorganizing class types in class schedule when necessary
  • Enriching Big Hit staff experience by organizing team meetings, outings, and activities
  • Upholding your Big Hit studio policies and Big Hit Standard policies
  • Assist and engage with community partners, outreach programs, and company partnerships to further enhance the Big Hit Partners Program
  • Manage, monitor, coach-develop and evaluate the performance of all Big Hit related staff
  • Responsible for recruiting and on-boarding all new Big Hit employees
  • Develop a high energy culture through contests and incentive based motivation
  • Responsible for quarterly & annual Big Hit staff performance reviews
  • Ensures that all front desk systems are followed such as proper member check-in, telephone inquiries (general and sales related), guest registration, cash handling, delinquent account procedures, customer care calls, change requests and document scanning
  • Responsible for ensuring that the facility is clean, maintained and operationally sound
QUALIFICATIONS.
  • Minimum of 2-3 years of leadership & management experience required, including directly overseeing all aspects of staff management from hiring, training, supporting, discipline, and termination
  • Previous management experience in the health and fitness industry is strongly recommended
  • Proven sales leadership
  • Strong work ethic, integrity, and professional demeanor
  • Solid verbal and written communication skills required
  • Ability to multi-task and manage client and staff concerns
  • Strong computer skills required with knowledge of Google Apps For Work, (Excel, Word)
  • Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in business or related field with
  • 3+years of management experience preferred
  • Ability to work and function in a TEAM environment
  • Flexible to work day, evening and/or weekend hours as needed
  • Health & Fitness minded people with a passion for fitness strongly preferred
  • Kickboxing and Muay Thai experience is recommended
  • Up to date first aid/CPR is beneficial
  • Extensive experience with Mindbody Online application
RELATED EXPERIENCE.
  • Minimum of 2-3 years
OVERVIEW.

As a Coach, you will be responsible for leading a variety of 30-45 minute Big Hit Kickboxing classes, as well as ensuring that all customers feel welcome and receive the most out of every visit. Below lists a sample of duties, expectations, and qualifications pertaining to the Coach position.

QUALITIES.
  • Outgoing, friendly and possesses a great attitude
  • Positive, energetic and passionate about fitness
  • Organized, punctual and creative
  • Takes initiative and handles challenges with a smile!
RESPONSIBILITIES.
  • Provide high-level customer service
  • Instruct/teach 30-45 minutes of kickboxing classes as scheduled
  • Arrive at least 15 minutes early to your scheduled class to welcome customers and set up for class
  • Assist with keeping the studio clean, organized and tidy
  • Communicate with Front Desk staff to ensure a successful class check-in process, such as identifying new members or those with any injuries or health concerns on their account
  • Checking in customers and selling services and products through Mindbody Online
QUALIFICATIONS.
  • It is recomended to have kickboxing and Muay Thai experience
  • Experience in the fitness industry with dynamics of group fitness instruction
  • Up to date first aid/CPR 
  • Excellent english communications skills and able to work with a wide range of personalities
  • Must have the flexability to work a non-traditional schedule, with a minimum of 5 classes per week
  • Experience with Mindbody Online is benefical
  • Must be available on a consistent schedule as well as on short notice for emergency
RELATED EXPERIENCE.
  • Minimum of 1 year
OVERVIEW.

Front Desk staff are responsible for ensuring basic studio functions are well managed. They are responsible for assisting the Studio Leader and Coaches in providing customers a great experience at Big Hit. Below lists a sample of duties, expectations, and qualifications pertaining to the Front Desk staff position.

QUALITIES.
  • Outgoing, friendly and possesses a great attitude
  • Positive, energetic and passionate about fitness
  • Organized, punctual and creative
  • Takes initiative and handles challenges with a smile!
RESPONSIBILITIES.
  • Provide high-level customer service
  • Manage customer inquiries via face to face interaction, phone and email
  • Arrive on scheduled shift
  • Assist with basic studio functions
  • Communicate with Coaches to ensure a successful class check-in process
  • Checking in customers, selling services and products, and managing customer accounts through Mindbody Online
QUALIFICATIONS.
  • Must be computer literate
  • Up to date first aid/CPR 
  • Excellent english communications skills and able to work with a wide range of personalities
  • Experience with Mindbody Online is benefical
  • Must be available on a consistent schedule as well as on short notice for emergency
RELATED EXPERIENCE.
  • 1 year customer service experience
