Flames vs Oilers tonight — playoff parlays?

Battle of Alberta tonight, 7pm MT, and I have very strong opinions. Flames are 5-2 in their last 7, Oilers' top line is gassed from the road swing, and I think there's actual value on the Flames -0.5 puck line if you can get it at +180 or better.

What's everyone running? I've got a small parlay on Flames ML + over 6.5 + Huberdeau anytime goal at +780. If the Flames cover, we eat tonight.

Canadian and proud.

Edmonton. You're delusional. McDavid is McDavid. Flames are due for a regression and tonight's the night the law of averages catches up.

I've got Oilers ML straight up at -120, no parlay nonsense. When the parlay loses you'll be back here at 11pm posting about variance. Wake me when your cashout clears.

Banff, on chair 7 right now. The Flames are the only reason I bother having an opinion on hockey. McDavid's a generational talent, sure, but Calgary's been the better TEAM the last two months. Goaltending and depth carry playoff hockey and Edmonton's third line is a sieve.

I've got Flames ML straight, $40. Modest. Sent from chair 7.

Winnipeg watching as a neutral. Jets fan, so my actual opinion doesn't matter, but the over 6.5 looks live to me. Both teams playing tired hockey, both defenses leaking, neither goalie has been sharp in his last 3 starts. Total has paid in 4 of the last 5 head-to-heads.

Took the over solo at -110. No parlay. The mempool doesn't lie.

Detroit, neutral, will absolutely chirp both fanbases anyway. McDavid is McDavid, the Flames goaltending could let in a beach ball from center ice and somehow it still wouldn't be enough.

That said I do think the Flames have heart this year that I haven't seen since the 2004 run. Took Oilers -1.5 on the puck line, low confidence. Wings in seven (different bracket but spiritually relevant).

Saskatchewan, prairie-neutral, will be on a porch with a beer either way. Riders are doing what they do and that's about the extent of my sports betting these days but I'll watch the late tilt for the chirps. Whichever side loses I'll be at this thread tomorrow morning enjoying the recap.

Fifty bucks is fifty bucks. Good luck Maple, good luck Grumpy.

UPDATE 11:14PM: Flames 4-3 OT, Huberdeau didn't score but the cover hit and the over went off in regulation. Parlay missed the leg but I cashed the Flames ML separately for a tidy $180.

If the Flames cover, we eat tonight. Tonight, we ate. Canadian and proud, lads. See you next Tuesday for round two.
