Just caught wind that Samsonov is officially out for tonight's game against Tampa Bay with a groin injury — announcement came 90 minutes before puck drop. The Leafs O/U 3.5 goals was sitting at -115 on the Over when I checked this morning, but now I'm seeing movement.
Woll gets the start, and while he's been decent in limited action (2.89 GAA in 8 starts), there's always that backup goalie unpredictability factor. Tampa's been allowing 3.1 goals per game at home this season, and the Leafs have been averaging 3.4 on the road.
Line Movement Timeline
Tracked the movement across books since the injury news broke:
- Morning: Over 3.5 at -115
- Post-injury announcement: Over 3.5 moved to -125
- Current: Some books pushing to 3.5 +105 Over
Anyone else seeing this late scratch as an opportunity, or is the market already efficiently pricing in Woll's variance? Tampa's powerplay has been clicking at 24.3% over their last 10 games.
